The Cockatoo has a lifespan of more than 40 years; they are a lot of work and a lifetime commitment. They are native from Australia and Indonesia.
They are big birds with big personalities! Living with one is like living with a lifelong 2 years old child, not only for their amazing intelligence but also for their ability to throw temper tantrums and to be very silly.
Just like the cockatiel, their crest indicates their mood and they have more dander than average.
They are loud birds, especially when they are seeking attention (they need a lot of it), and they can learn to speak a few words and phrases.
